Summer Camps and Summer Training Classes

All classes will include training, manual, lunch, give-aways, certification exams and group discussions. 

Note:  Regarding Certification Exam:  We will have Certification Exams available for you to test your skills after each course.  It is you decision on whether you would like to participate or not.  The certification exams are completely free and will provide you an excellent assessment of your skill level.  Applied Software will make every effort to adequately prepare the attendees, however successful completion of the examination is dependent upon the attendee’s efforts.  Please note most of our classes are 2 ½ days in length.  You may always come back and take the exam at a later date.

AutoCAD Fundamentals

Price: $500

Times: 9 am – 4pm

Available Dates: June 25-June 27 (ACA01)

Inventor Fundamentals

Price:  $400 (2 ½ day classes)

Time:  Monday – Tuesday 9 am – 4 pm; Wednesday 9 am – 12 pm

Objectives

After completing the course, the student should be able to:

  1. Understand feature-based parametric modeling.
  2. Know Inventor User interface (screen layout, mouse button features & help options).
  3. Create extruded solid models.
  4. Create 2D sketches
  5. Create & Edit parametric dimensions
  6. Create placed features including fillets, chamfers, and holes.
  7. Create constrained components, Learn to place standard components using the Content Center.
  8. Create drawings of parts including projected views, section views, and annotations.
  9. Assemble parts.  Document assemblies including assembly drawings and parts lists.
  10. How/when to use work planes
  11. How/when to use construction geometry.
  12. Final day, wrap up, Q&A.

Inventor Intermediate

Price:  $400

Time:  Wednesday 1 pm – 4pm; Thursday - Friday 9 am – 4 pm

Revit Architecture Fundamentals

Objectives:

After completing this day of instruction, teachers will understand and be able to explain:

  1. The Autodesk® Revit® Architecture interface: Design Bar, Project Browser, menus, toolbars, Type Selector, Views, and Properties dialog boxes.
  2. How to start a building model using Massing, and how to generate floors, walls, roofs, and curtain systems from a mass model.
  3. How to sketch and edit walls, and how to use constraints.
  4. How to place, load, and modify doors and windows; and how to create a simple in-place family.
  5. How to place and modify stairs.
  6. How to create roof objects using Extrude and Footprint.
  7. How to create sections and elevations.
  8. How to add tags and create schedules.
  9. How to render a perspective view and create a walk-through.
  10. Autodesk Revit Architecture standards and settings for project units and dimension styles.
  11. How to create and edit a sheet view, including the use, creation, and editing of custom title blocks.
  12. The use of template files.
  13. How to create a detail view and how to add notes and linework to the view.
  14. How to create ceiling objects and place appropriate components in a ceiling to create a ceiling plan.
  15. How to create floors and how to manage their structure and appearance.
  16. How to create and edit groups.
  17. How to create and manage site objects to produce site plans.
  18. How to create and edit area analysis views.

Revit Architecture Intermediate

  1. Understand working with the Family Editor 2D (Profiles, annotations, parameters, adding profiles to families)
  2. Understand working with the Family Editor 3D (solids, voids, categories, parameters, loading vs. saving)
  3. Create schedules (use shared parameters, calculated values & other schedule types)
  4. Working with room objects, color plans
  5. Create ceiling plans
  6. Generate a walkthrough / render
  7. Create quick building analysis.
